The album is a mix of tracks from a project I didn't finish, and 4 newer tracks that were made for a newer one. The result was 8 songs made for Fimbul Battle Born, and it's probably one of my greatest endeavours.

The idea is from Norse myth. Fimbul winter is a 3 year winter that preludes Ragnarok, the end of times. During this winter everyone turns against one another and there is great conflict, war, and death. That's what most of these songs are about, along with epic icy landscapes, ogres, etc.
